The Ayushman Bharat Card is sometimes referred to as the Ayushman Card. It debuted in 2018. Under the Ayushman Card, the Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) was launched by the Indian government and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In government and some private institutions, this program enables the public to get free medical care. With their Ayushman Cards, almost 50 crore Indians can receive free medical care. This is an insurance-based healthcare program that gives families up to Rs 5 lakh in annual government-funded healthcare services without the need for cash. Public and private hospitals, including government ones across the nation, accept it. You can enter a hospital and receive cashless care if you have an Ayushman Card through the PMJAY Program.

Key Features of Ayushman Card Health Coverage:

Each family can receive up to Rs 5 lakh in health coverage annually with an Ayushman Card. It pays for a variety of medical costs, including those associated with hospital stays, procedures, diagnosis, and treatment.

  • Cashless Treatment: Anyone with an Ayushman Card can receive cashless care at any hospital in India that is designated by the government. You are not obliged to pay the hospital in any way. Access to all healthcare services is made simple. Recall that not all hospitals are qualified for it. Look first at the local hospital designated by the government.
  • Family Benefits: The Ayushman Card offers benefits to families. As to the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) Database, this scheme provides coverage for every member of a family.
  • Portability: The Ayushman Card can be used in all Indian states and union territories. If you move around, you can still receive your free therapy.
  • No Age Bar: There isn’t an age cap. Everyone, young and old, is eligible for free medical care under the Ayushman Card.
