- For engineering disciplines, you must have a first-class grade in each of the following degrees: B.E., B.Tech., M.E., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in a related or similar subject. First-class graduates from B.E. or B.Tech. programs that have a direct Ph.D. will also be taken into consideration.
- The educational requirements and credit point requirements for the Department of Architecture must meet those listed in the table for engineering and sciences.
- Ph.D. in the appropriate field or an equivalent subject with a first class in all prior degrees is required for non-engineering departments. If the university or institution did not include a first class in the prior degrees, then the applicants needed to have at least a 6.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA), or 60% overall.
