Educational Qualifications:

• Industrial Design: The applicant must have done First Class in a relevant branch or discipline and a Ph.D. in B.Tech., B.E., or B.Des.
• Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science Departments: The applicant must have done a Master’s degree with a First Class and a Ph.D. in a related subject or field
• Engineering Departments: The applicant must have done First-class B.Tech./B.E. with a Ph.D. in the pertinent branch or field
• Planning and Architecture: The applicant must have done First Class for Assistant Professor Grade II in M.Arch./M.Plan and For Assistant Professor Grade I and higher positions, First Class in M.Arch. or M.Plan. with a Ph.D. in the pertinent field or subject
• School of Management: The applicant must have done a Ph.D. in Management and First Class in MBA/PGDBM

Age Limit:

• Apart from in the case of academics with extraordinary research, industrial, and/or academic careers, new appointments over the age of 60 are discouraged.
